About me
I focus on empowering new moms to connect to and support their bodies during pregnancy and postpartum.  Pregnancy, childbirth, and caring for a new baby come with major physical and emotional changes, but we are often given very little guidance on how to take care of ourselves during this time.  By learning more about the core, pelvic floor, and body mechanics in pregnancy and when taking care of baby, we can become experts in our own care and learn how to better support ourselves. As a licensed occupational therapist I also have training in maternal mental health and support new moms in learning how to adapt and become confident in the life changing transition of becoming a parent.

After previously working in pediatrics, I became passionate about women's health and pelvic floor rehabilitation through my own personal experience around the birth of my daughter, an unplanned cesarean, and no guidance on how to safely return to physical activity.  I am trained in pelvic floor rehabilitation, pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise, and am also a registered yoga teacher that teaches pre/ postnatal yoga.

60 Minute Virtual Prenatal Fitness & Wellness ConsultationDepending on your own personal goals, sessions can include: learning good body mechanics during pregnancy, learning how to connect to the deep core and pelvic floor, stretches, exercises, and yoga postures to alleviate the common physical discomforts of pregnancy, a personalized exercise plan, positions and strategies to prepare for labor and delivery, information on recovery and movements for after birth, assessment of home setup for baby, mindfulness & meditation strategies, and developing a postpartum care plan. *Please note that these sessions are not a substitute for a full occupational therapy or pelvic floor evaluation. Sarah is happy to refer you to treatment if you are experiencing issues that warrant a full evaluation from an occupational or physical therapist and is also happy to communicate with your healthcare providers.

60 Minute Virtual Postpartum Fitness & Wellness ConsultationDepending on your own personal goals, sessions can include: learning good body mechanics to keep yourself safe when taking care of baby, learning how to reconnect to the deep core and pelvic floor, gentle stretches and breathing exercises that are safe for the initial postpartum period, a personalized exercise plan to safely ease back into movement, general information on pelvic floor healing and healing from a vaginal or cesarean birth, assessment of home setup for baby, mindfulness & meditation strategies, support in adjusting to the new roles and routines of caring for an infant. *Please note that these sessions are not a substitute for a full occupational therapy or pelvic floor evaluation. Sarah is happy to refer you to treatment if you are experiencing issues that warrant a full evaluation from an occupational or physical therapist and is also happy to communicate with your other healthcare providers.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Package5 session package that can be individualized to your own personal goals and needs. Package includes 3 virtual sessions and 2 in-home sessions which can be broken up however you like. *Please note that these sessions are not a substitute for a full occupational therapy or pelvic floor evaluation.
